Rehabilitation and sustainable livelihoods play a vital role in enabling women prisoners to adopt positive behavioural changes, helping them cope with and recover from stresses and shocks.
To address the difficulties faced by women prisoners and support their personal development and reintegration, the CII Foundation, has launched a transformative program in Tamil Nadu. This initiative focuses on equipping women prisoners with vocational skills, promoting personal growth, and supporting reintegration into society. It aims to establish a model progressive correctional facility striving for the welfare of all.
