Healthcare Initiatives in Kerala

In response to the government’s call to rebuild Kerala after the devastating floods of 2018, CII & CII Foundation, in collaboration with state and district authorities, launched rehabilitation interventions in Ernakulam District. The focus was on refurbishing and reconstructing six health centers to enhance patient-friendliness and service quality, aiming to reduce the burden on major hospitals and improve healthcare accessibility.

Facility Enhancements

Labs, pharmacies, pre-check areas, patient waiting areas, mental health consultations, immunization rooms, yoga & conference halls, observation rooms, and toilets. Emphasis was also placed on energy efficiency and disability accessibility

Reconstructions

Buildings at Puthuvyppu Health Centre and Paravoor Taluk Headquarters Hospital were constructed. The newly constructed facility has 5563 sq ft area with state of art facilities such as medical officer room, laboratory, pharmacy procedure room, nursing station, observation room, primary and secondary waiting areas, feeding room and Immunization room. The new building is eco-friendly, energy-efficient, disability friendly and disaster-resilient
